The conviction is growing that production in Europe is economically possible and desirable. To strengthen this tendency support through research is necessary. The questions to be answered and the problems to be addressed are well beyond “State of the Art” or mere technological topics. The event is organized by four European projects which are under the funding scheme of the 6th Framework program. All are working on topics related to manufacturing. The event aims at a discussion and a brokerage for future activities necessary to support the above mentioned area of production technology.
