AIN provides technological services to near 1000 industrial clients in SPAIN. That includes Surface Engineering (Ion Implantation, PVD coatings, Tribology), Advanced Engineering Design, Production Engineering, Predictive Maintenance Techniques, Energy and Environment Consulting, Projects Development and Training. AIN is also very active in technological dissemination and technology transfer.
The main facilities to be used in the MASMICRO project are:
* Advanced Surface Treatment equipment: PVD coating system with 3 Magnetrons and 6 Arcs, 2 Ion Implanters, 1 IBAD.·
* Surface characterisation equipment: GD-OES analyser, 3 micro hardness testers, 1 nanoindenter, 1 optical profilometer for non contact roughness and microshape measurement.·
* Coating Characterisation: Calotest, Scratch Tester.·
* Tribology: 2 Tribometers (with humidity control and high temperature unit...).

The main roles of AIN within the consortium are related to the study of tribological characteristics of the employed tools and the manufactured components, as well as the development of advanced surface modification treatments.AIN will also play the role of Exploitation Manager of the project. |
