CEDRAT TECHNOLOGIES SA (CEDRAT-T) is a high tech SME of Cedrat group involving 70 peoples based in France close to Grenoble. CEDRAT is specialising in 2 complementary fields of Electric Engineering :
1. Active Material Applications : Applications of piezoelectrics & magnetostrictives.
2. Magnetic Device Engineering : Applications of magnetism effectsIn both domains, CEDRAT designs and manufactures actuators, transducers, motors, mechanisms, generators, transformers and sensors as well as related electronics.
CEDRAT masters unique technologies of low-voltage piezo-actuators, piezo-transducers and piezo-motors. These are patented and innovative according to the patent search reports. Piezo devices are available both as off-the-shelf products and as customised products.
CEDRAT also masters several technologies of low-power electromagnetic rotating and linear drives, including their control/command and their power supply. CEDRAT magnetic devices are mostly developed for customised applications. Considering Industrial Activities, CEDRAT exploits its patents and rights by manufacturing actuators, transducers and motors with electronics, mostly for applications related to micro-positioning, to fast positioning and to vibration generation or damping. For all these projects on electromechanical devices, CEDRAT has ensured the project management, co-ordinating partners for materials, mechanics and electronics.
CEDRAT TECHNOLOGIES began a new Industrial Activity five years ago: CEDRAT TECHNOLOGIES exploits its own patents by developing and manufacturing smart actuators (based on piezoelectric or electromagnetic effects) and related electronics, either as standard products or as OEM applications.

Ronan Lelettygot in 1990 an Engineering diploma from the Institut Superieur d'Electronique du Nord, Lille (F), where he worked for the first time on H.F. Ultrasonic Piezo transducers for NDT applications. He passed his Ph. D. Thesis at INSA-LGEF with CEDRAT funding on Design of Ultrasonic Piezomotors using modelling. Since 1995, he has been responsible for projects related to the design, realisation, test & qualification of piezo devices in CEDRAT AMA dept, including : Space Piezoelectric actuators for the French Space Agency; Piezo XYZ stage for the European Space Agency; Piezo valves for thrusters for ESA; He is also co-inventor in 6 patents on piezoelectric technology. Since Jan.2002, he is the Manager of AMA Projects & Piezo Products.François BARILLOT got its engineering diploma in 1994 at Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Ingénieur de Construction Aéronautique. He joined CEDRAT TECHNOLOGIES in 1996 as mechanical engineer. He is now the head of the mechanical section and has been involved in several projets involving mechanisms (positioning stages, tip/tilt, active vibration control systems).

project |
|
|
Actuation Components in manufacturing machine of micro-parts.
Cedrat will be responsible for Design and fabrication of sensors, actuators, motors and control units. Also participating in assembly and validation trials. Cedrat will also be responsible for designing and fabricating a handling device for handling hydro-formed components (size is about 1 mm). |
